Job summary

HammondCare is seeking a Level 1/2 Physiotherapist for a fixed-term, part-time position (16 hours per week, Mondays and Tuesdays) until end of May 2027. The role focuses on delivering high-quality physiotherapy to hospital patients and supporting carers within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration, with experience in rehabilitation or sub-acute care, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
• Experience in providing Physiotherapy services in Rehabilitation or sub-acute care (e.g. Palliative Care).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

Job description

The fixed-term part-time role (16 hours per week - Mondays and Tuesdays - until end of May 2027) of Level 1/2 Physiotherapist is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Physiotherapy service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers.

The Physiotherapist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients' level of functional mobility and care needs, setting care goals and providing appropriate treatment in a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.
