Job summary

RoyalMoves Physiotherapy is seeking a passionate NeuroMoves Physiotherapist to join our Canberra program. Based at Flynn Community Hub, this part-time role (15–22.5 hours/week) will deliver advanced neurological physiotherapy, manage a complex caseload and support service development within the Royal Rehab Group network.

You will mentor junior clinicians, contribute to quality initiatives, and participate in ongoing professional development in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse neurological caseload with complex presentations.
  • Deliver interventions across NeuroMoves gym, home, community, telehealth, and hydrotherapy.
  • Develop goal-directed therapy programs and measure outcomes.
  • Collaborate with participants, families and the MDT to achieve outcomes.
  • Mentor less experienced clinicians and students where required.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and service development.
  • Participate in national mentoring, training, and PD activities.

About The Role…

Based at Flynn Community Hub, 3/21 Bingle St, Flynn ACT 2615, this is a part-time permanent NeuroMoves Level 4 Physiotherapist position (15-22.5 hours per week). As a senior clinician, you will independently deliver specialised neurological physiotherapy and exercise programs, manage a complex caseload, and contribute to the ongoing growth and quality of the service. You will support clinical initiatives, mentor less experienced clinicians, and play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Managing a diverse neurological caseload, including participants with complex clinical presentations.
  • Delivering physiotherapy interventions across multiple settings including the NeuroMoves gym, home visits, community visits, telehealth and hydrotherapy.
  • Applying evidence-based practice to develop goal-directed therapy programs, measure outcomes and support meaningful participant progress.
  • Working collaboratively with participants, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Advocating for participants with stakeholders including the NDIS, ICare, Support Coordinators and equipment suppliers.
  • Providing clinical guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced clinicians and students where required.
  • Contributing to quality improvement activities, clinical projects and service development initiatives.
  • Participating in professional development through national mentoring, internal training, webinars and a generous external professional development allowance.

You are a passionate and experienced Physiotherapist who is committed to delivering exceptional participant outcomes through evidence-based neurological rehabilitation. You are confident managing complex clinical presentations, enjoy mentoring others and actively contribute to service development and continuous improvement.

To Succeed, You Will Bring
  • Demonstrated experience delivering neurological physiotherapy services across a range of settings.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and the ability to independently manage complex participant presentations.
  • A commitment to person-centred, inclusive practice that ensures every participant feels respected, heard and supported.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with participants, families and key stakeholders.
  • The ability to mentor and support developing clinicians while contributing positively to the wider team.
  • Regular access to a private vehicle to transport participants for community-based sessions.
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence.
  • Confidence with manual handling, participant transfers and safe equipment use.
  • Flexibility to participate in occasional weekend work to support service delivery.
  • A collaborative, values-driven approach aligned with Royal Rehab's purpose and values.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
  • Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
  • Regular access to a private vehicle.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration (or ability to obtain).
  • National Police Check.
  • Experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) environment is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working with adults living with neurological conditions and disability.
