Job summary

NeuroMoves, part of the Royal Rehab Group, seeks an Exercise Physiologist to deliver specialised, activity-based therapy for clients with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions in Fremantle. The role focuses on assessments, tailored programs and close collaboration with therapy assistants to ensure high-quality care.

You will work 22.5 hours per week on a part-time fixed-term contract, with weekend availability and a valid Australian driver's licence.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification required.
  • Current ESSA Accreditation is essential.
  • CPR and First Aid accreditation required.
  • Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children’s Check, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional assessments and design individualised therapy plans.
  • Deliver activity-based exercise programs aligned with client goals.
  • Monitor outcomes and adjust programs; maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with therapy assistants and clinicians to ensure safe service delivery.
  • Uphold high standards of safety, risk management and professional conduct.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the NeuroMoves program.

About the role..

This 6 month part-time fixed term contract (22.5 hours per week) based at Fremantle offers the opportunity to deliver specialised, activity-based therapy to clients living with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions. You’ll complete clinical assessments, design tailored exercise programs and work closely with therapy assistants to provide safe, person-centred sessions across our Neuromoves service.

Occasional weekend work may be required. A full Australian driver’s licence and fully insured vehicle remain essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment— Conduct functional assessments and develop individualised therapy plans.
  • Program Delivery— Implement activity‑based exercise programs aligned with client goals and best practice.
  • Client Progression— Monitor outcomes, adjust programs and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Team Collaboration— Work closely with therapy assistants and clinicians to ensure safe, effective service delivery.
  • Safety & Compliance— Uphold high standards of clinical safety, risk management and professional conduct.
  • Service Contribution— Support continuous improvement within the NeuroMoves program and maintain a client‑centred approach.
About you…

A capable and client‑focused Exercise Physiologist, you’re confident working with people living with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions and bring strong clinical reasoning to every session. Your communication, teamwork and adaptability enable you to thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

You’re organised, professional and committed to delivering high‑quality therapy across assessments, program delivery and documentation. In this part‑time, permanent role, you’re ready to contribute meaningfully to the NeuroMoves service and support excellent outcomes for clients.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Experienced working with people living with spinal cord injury or neurological conditions and are passionate about delivering meaningful, evidence‑based therapy.
  • A commitment to inclusive practiceensuring every participant feels respected, heard and supported.
  • Values‑aligned team contributor within a multidisciplinary environment and help foster a positive, supportive workplace culture.
  • Clear, confident communication with the ability to build rapport easily, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and contribute to a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
  • Regular access to a private vehicleto transport participants for community‑based sessions.
  • Availability on weekends
  • Confidence with manual handling, including transfers, loading and positioning, with training and support provided.
Qualifications and Experience
