Qualifications

• Experience teaching Physics to Years 7–12.
• Knowledge of Australian Curriculum and QCAA Physics syllabus.
• Current CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to obtain.
• QCT registration or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned to curriculum.
• Teach Physics in senior years; prepare for internal and external assessments.
• Develop practical investigations and real‑world applications of Physics.
• Support student wellbeing and foster inclusive learning.
• Collaborate with staff and contribute to school programs.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Physics lessons across senior year levels that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning across relevant year levels.
2. Teach Physics in the senior years, preparing students for success in internal and external assessments and supporting achievement in line with QCAA requirements.
3. Develop students' understanding of scientific concepts through practical investigations, experimentation, and real-world applications of Physics.
4. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing, engagement, academic growth, and a culture of high expectations.
5. Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.
6. Contribute to the College’s pastoral care and co-curricular programs, building strong relationships with students and supporting their holistic development.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, reflect on teaching practices, and contribute to a culture of innovation and professional excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications and experience to teach Physics across Years 7-12.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA senior Physics syllabus.

• Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
