Randstad is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer to drive the evolution of an enterprise strata platform for a leading Australian financial institution. You will design, build, and deploy modern PHP applications across cloud-native microservices, collaborating with product teams and architects.

You will balance immediate delivery with future-proof cloud architecture, leading proof-of-concept work and delivering resilient, scalable components in AWS and MySQL environments.

Join a high performing engineering group within a leading Tier 1 Australian financial institution. We are embarking on a major platform evolution, rebuilding and scaling a market leading strata operational platform using modern cloud technologies and decoupled architectures.

The Role

As a Senior PHP Engineer, you will play a central role in driving strategic change across our core platform. You will collaborate closely with cross functional product teams, domain experts, and software architects to design, build, and deploy modern PHP applications. You will balance short term delivery goals with long term aspirational cloud architecture, leading design decisions, building proof of concepts, and writing resilient code for critical platform components.

The Tech Stack & Environment

Core Language: Modern PHP (8.x) microservices and service oriented architectures

Database & Performance: MySQL optimization, advanced query tuning, complex indexing

Observability & Security: Dynatrace, OWASP Top 10 guidelines, ISO 27001 standards
