Job summary

Macquarie is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to drive the next evolution of our Strata platform and Property IQ capabilities. You will build cloud-based PHP applications, design resilient services, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

You will work with a mix of modern cloud technologies and home-grown tools, ensuring secure coding practices and performance optimization as the platform scales across markets.

Qualifications

• Experience building PHP-based cloud applications.
• Ability to design resilient, maintainable microservices.
• Proven mentoring and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native apps.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic changes in building the strata operational platform and partner with business and engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Drive design decisions through POCs and high-performance code components.
• Mentor and guide junior team members and promote good coding practices.
• Implement service-oriented architecture and microservices patterns across the platform.
