Job summary

Opus Media Group in Penrith is seeking a Photographer | Videographer | Editor to join our growing production team. This hands-on role covers photography, videography and editing for real estate, corporate and branded content.

You’ll travel across Western Sydney and surrounding regions, work with a small creative team, and bring projects from shoot to delivery. Ideal candidates have experience with mirrorless or cinema cameras, video editing, and a working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve.

Qualifications

Experience with mirrorless or cinema cameras.
Good understanding of exposure, composition, lighting and camera settings.
Photography and videography experience.
Video editing experience.
Experience using DaVinci Resolve.
Experience using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Good attention to detail.
Strong time management and the ability to work to deadlines.
Confidence dealing directly with clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A current Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

Photography across real estate, corporate, events and branded content.
Videography for property, social media, corporate and commercial projects.
Drone photography and videography where required.
Editing short-form social media content, property videos and longer-form productions.
Colour correction, basic audio processing and delivery of finished content.
Working independently on shoots once trained and confident.
Working alongside other Opus photographers, videographers and editors on larger productions.
Managing footage and project files within our production workflow.
Communicating professionally with clients while representing Opus on location.
Travelling to shoots throughout Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains and surrounding regions.

We’re a fast-paced media production company based in Penrith, working with clients across real estate, business, corporate, social media, events and branded content.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys being behind the camera just as much as they enjoy bringing a project together in the edit.

The Role

No two days at Opus are exactly the same.

You could be photographing a luxury property in the morning, filming social media content for a business in the afternoon, and editing a corporate video or property campaign the following day.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

We’re looking for someone who is creative, reliable and genuinely wants to build a career in photo and video production.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re more interested in someone with strong fundamentals, a good eye and the right attitude who is willing to learn our systems and style.

Ideally, you’ll have:

Experience with mirrorless or cinema cameras
A good understanding of exposure, composition, lighting and camera settings
Photography and videography experience
Video editing experience
Experience using DaVinci Resolve
Experience using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
Good attention to detail
Strong time management and the ability to work to deadlines
Confidence dealing directly with clients
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A current Australian driver’s licence

Experience in real estate photography and videography, commercial content production, drone operation and professional colour grading would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential.

If you hold a current RePL or have experience flying drones commercially, we’d also love to hear about it.
