Job summary

Mildura Base Public Hospital's Pharmacy Department invites applications for a Casual Pharmacy Technician. You will support management, distribution and supply of medications across MBPH, working with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure timely pharmaceutical support.

Shifts follow Pharmacy hours (Mon-Fri 8.30-5, Sat 9-1, Sun 9-12). Certificate III qualifications required, plus proficiency with Excel/Outlook and Merlin system; PBS knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III as Dispensary Technician or Certificate III Health Services Assistant.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the management, distribution and supply of medications across MBPH.
• Assist with dispensing medications and ensure wards receive timely pharmaceutical support.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other health professionals as needed.
• Work within Pharmacy hours (Mon-Fri 8.30-5pm; Sat 9-1; Sun 9-12).

Remuneration $41.14 - $43.25 per hour

About The Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the management, distribution, and supply of medications across MBPH. Working alongside pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, you will assist with dispensing medications and ensuring wards receive timely pharmaceutical support. Successful candidates will be expected to work within the Pharmacy hours (Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm, Saturday 9-1pm. Sunday 9-12pm)

About you

• Certificate III as Dispensary Technician, or
• Certificate III Health Services Assistant
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required

Desirable

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with Merlin Dispensing System
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
