Job summary

The Compounding Lab (Formulae Albion) in Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacy Technician with proven experience in medication dispensing, stock control, and regulatory compliance. You will support pharmacists, perform accurate prescription labelling, and assist with compounding skincare, aseptic techniques and hormone preparations.

The role requires a pharmacy technician qualification and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician qualification or equivalent training.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Strong understanding of dispensing procedures and stock management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Refer prescriptions to Pharmacists and assist in the preparation of medications.
• Fill, prepare and label patients' prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Accurately enter and record prescription and medication information using pharmacy dispensing systems.
• Assist Pharmacists with prescription processing and medication preparation.
• Record details of medications and medical supplies.
• Place orders for medications and pharmacy supplies as required.
• Receive, check, organise and store medications and medical supplies in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain appropriate inventory.
• Assist with stock rotation, expiry-date checks and inventory control.
• Assist with the delivery or supply of medications and medical supplies where required.
• Assist with preparation of compounded products under the supervision of a Pharmacist, where applicable.
• Assist with medication audits, reports and stock reviews.
• Support Pharmacists with routine pharmacy operations and patient-related information gathering under appropriate supervision.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with pharmacy policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised dispensary and medication storage area.
• Work collaboratively with Pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to ensure accurate and timely medication supply.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in medication dispensing, regulatory compliance, drug inventory control, and prescription filling. They will play a critical role in resolving customer issues and ensuring the accuracy of prescription labelling, which is vital in our line of work. The ideal candidate will also have experience in compounding skincare, aseptic techniques and experience with hormone preparations.

Essential requirements

• Relevant pharmacy technician qualification or equivalent training.
