Job summary

Metro North Health is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists and clinical teams in Brisbane North, ensuring timely access to medicines and pharmacy services. You will help prepare prescriptions, manage patient information, and assist with aseptic and non-aseptic product preparation under supervision.

The role emphasizes accurate data handling for Medicare and safety-net details, along with processing prescription payments and contributing to a safe, efficient pharmacy workflow

Qualifications

• Assist with the preparation of prescriptions under a pharmacist supervision, handling patient Medicare, concession and safety net data in line with PBS and local procedures.
• Process invoice payments for prescriptions following departmental procedures.
• Assist with aseptic and non-aseptic product preparation, including cytotoxic and immunotherapy preparations and repackaging, with validated aseptic competencies.
