Icon Oncology Group seeks an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead Slade Pharmacy inside St. Vincent’s Private Hospital East Melbourne.

You will manage a high-performing team, drive clinical and operational excellence, and shape the future of hospital pharmacy services within a respected private hospital setting. You will oversee daily operations, lead dispensary, retail and clinical services, and ensure compliance while building strong relationships with hospital stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Australian working rights, valid for at least 12 months.
• Current Ahpra general registration with no restrictions on practice.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with executives, nurses, doctors and other senior hospital stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pharmacy team to deliver patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee dispensary, retail and clinical services to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in strategic planning and operations of the pharmacy business.
• Attend and present at key client hospital meetings.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead our pharmacy service at St Vincent's Private Hospital East Melbourne. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a high-performing team, strengthen clinical and operational excellence, and play a key role in shaping the future of pharmacy services within a respected private hospital environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will manage a diverse team to deliver optimal patient‑centred care in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the business operates profitably and efficiently.
• Participating in the strategic planning and operations of all aspects of the pharmacy business.
• Motivating, guiding, and leading the pharmacy team to provide exceptional healthcare services.
• Actively participating in and overseeing all daily operational activities in the pharmacy.
• Ensuring the business complies with legislation and contractual obligations, while continuously improving clinical and pharmacy services.
• Leading and managing dispensary, retail, and clinical services.
• Attending and presenting at key client hospital meetings.

Site information: St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne is a 164‑bed facility. The hospital offers a broad range of surgical, medical and specialist services including Orthopaedics, ENT/Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Paediatrics, Oncology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Rehabilitation, Urology and Breast Cancer Surgery.

About You

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist who can confidently lead and mentor a dynamic team.

Essential requirements

• Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-months.
• Current Ahpra general registration with no restrictions on practice.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in either retail or hospital pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to build effective relationships with executives, nurses, doctors and other senior hospital stakeholders.

Desirable skills & experience

• Prior working experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Experience in oncology pharmacy.
