Job summary

Deakin Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician to support dispensary operations and dosage administration aid preparation in a friendly retail setting in Canberra. You will work with the pharmacist and team to deliver excellent customer service and accurate medication handling.

The role offers flexible hours from part-time toward full-time, with weekday trading hours and some Saturday mornings; training will be provided, and prior retail pharmacy experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Positive, interactive team player with customer focus.
• Interested in pharmacy products and willing to learn.
• Able to work some Saturday mornings.
• Reliable, responsible and detail-oriented with good systems.
• Holder of a Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Support pharmacist and other staff.
• Receive and top up stock.
• Accurate use of cash register and EFTPOS.
• Assist customers with purchases and solutions.
• Work closely with and refer to professional staff.
• Participation in Marketing, displays and promotions.
• Participating and assisting in the delivery of professional pharmacy services.
• Assisting with cleanliness and tidiness.
• Preparation of Dosage Administration Aids.
• Customer medication deliveries to local area.
