Job summary

Monash Health Pharmacy is seeking a Rotational Pharmacist to join our diverse team across multiple sites in south-east Melbourne. The role offers flexible, ongoing part-time or full-time opportunities and rotation through a range of practice areas.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, patient-centred care, contribute to education and research activities, and support staff development while travelling to different Monash Health locations as required.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Hospital pharmacy experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centred clinical pharmacy care to optimise medication safety and outcomes.
• Provide medication management to multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and educate pharmacy interns, students and staff.
• Participate in rostered shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Travel to different Monash Health locations as required.

About the Department / Program

Monash Health Pharmacy is a diverse and dynamic team of over 500 professionals. We work across seven hospitals and community settings, delivering best-practice pharmacy services and supporting career development through structured rotations, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

About the Role

Join our team as a Rotational Pharmacist on a part-time or full-time ongoing basis.

Working across Monash Health sites, you will rotate through a range of pharmacy practice areas and work as part of multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, patient-centred pharmacy care.

The role provides opportunities to broaden your hospital pharmacy experience while contributing to education, quality improvement and research activities.

Key responsibilities include

• Deliver best practice, patient-centric clinical pharmacy care to optimise medication safety, clinical outcomes and ensure patient flow.
• Provide medication management expertise to multidisciplinary teams, contributing to safe, effective and evidence-based treatment decisions.
• Support education, training and professional development of pharmacy interns, students and pharmacists by delivering supervision and teaching.
• Participate in rostered shifts including rotating rosters, weekends and public holidays, in line with the service requirements.
• Work flexibly across all sites as required, including travel to other Monash Health locations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Mandatory requirements of the role

• Registered as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
