Monash Health invites experienced hospital pharmacists to join the Pharmacy Education Services team for a two-year Registrar Training Program. This full-time fixed-term role supports clinical education, quality improvement, and leadership development while contributing to patient care across multiple sites.

You will engage in structured rotations, mentoring, and ongoing professional development, with opportunities to advance your practice and education expertise within a dynamic health network.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced hospital pharmacist passionate about education, mentoring and professional development? Join our Pharmacy Education Services team and advance your clinical and education expertise through a supported two-year Registrar Training Program.

About the Department / Program

Monash Health Pharmacy is a diverse and dynamic team of over 500 professionals. We work across seven hospitals and community settings, delivering best-practice pharmacy services and supporting career development through structured rotations, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

About the Role

Join our team on a full-time, fixed-term (2 year program) basis working across multiple Monash Health sites.

Working alongside the Pharmacy Education Services Team and broader pharmacy team, you'll deliver expert clinical education services while contributing to patient care, quality improvement and the ongoing development of the pharmacy team.

Key responsibilities include

• Completion of all required Registrar Training Program activities to a high standard, including a quality improvement/research project and manuscript submission, within the 2 year program
• Completion of the Monash Health Pharmacy Clinical Educator Credentialing Program
• Advancement in practice throughout the 2 year training program from an ANZCAP recognised Resident pharmacist level to a Registrar pharmacist level

About You

You're an experienced hospital pharmacist ready to build your expertise in education and help develop the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams
• Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, ideally with Education exposure
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex clinical environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
• Experience in clinical governance, research and quality improvement and medication safety
• Excellent organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills

Mandatory requirements of the role

• Registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA) Pharmacy Board
• Advanced Pharmacy Australia membership
• Clinical Supervision training(desirable)
