Job summary

Sydney Adventist Hospital, part of Adventist HealthCare Limited, is seeking casual AHPRA-registered Pharmacists to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will work across the wards and a busy dispensary, delivering clinical services with a focus on patient care and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have hospital pharmacy experience (oncology preferred) and strong computer literacy in pharmacy applications. Shifts are on a rotating roster; 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with a supportive, not-for-profit workplace

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Pharmacist, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' clinical experience in acute healthcare settings.
• Demonstrated experience participating in research and quality improvement activities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient care, working on wards and in the dispensary.

What you will be doing in this role

As an AHPRA Registered Pharmacist, you will be responsible for delivering clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient care. Your role will involve working directly on the wards and rotating through the busy pharmacy dispensary, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional customer service.

The successful applicants will possess demonstrated prior experience in hospital pharmacy - ideally with experience in oncology pharmacy - showcasing competence in clinical drug knowledge and good computer literacy in pharmacy applications. Your proven capacity to organise a complex workload during periods of high demand, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks, will be essential.

As a casual with us, ideally you'd cover 3+ shifts per week. Our team works on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, with shifts running from 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM. The department is fun, fast paced and consists of 25 staff per shift onsite, with the whole team consisting of 50 employees.

Who we're looking for

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Pharmacist, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' clinical experience in acute healthcare settings.
• Demonstrated experience participating in research and quality improvement activities.
