Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a Molecular Imaging Collaboration Scientist to lead external scientific collaborations and translate clinical needs into feasibility studies, research tools, and evidence for next-generation PET/SPECT imaging portfolios.

You will drive technology-centered evidence plans, publish results, and collaborate across GE HealthCare, academic partners, and MIM to advance clinical translation and innovation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in engineering or science field (Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, CS, Applied Math, or Physics).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in medical imaging, image processing, or related application development.
• Hands-on PET imaging technology experience (reconstruction, corrections, quantitative imaging, post-processing, algorithm development).
• Experience with modern programming languages (Python, MATLAB).
• Proactive, curious, adaptable with strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead external collaborations and develop technology-centered evidence plans.
• Drive publications and conference presentations.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product leaders to evaluate prototypes and advance research tools toward product-ready solutions.
• Contribute to algorithm development, reconstruction methods, and research software.
• Provide onsite scientific and technical support for partner investigations.
• Lead research that results in peer-reviewed publications and patents.
