Qualifications

• Senior Data Engineer with Databricks and Spark experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills are essential.
• Experience with data migrations, API integration and Kafka/streaming pipelines.
• Ability to mentor other data engineers and influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data platforms using Databricks and Spark.
• Develop data migration, replication and transformation solutions.
• Build robust data ingestion pipelines across SQL, PostgreSQL, APIs and Kafka/streaming platforms.
• Work with complex data structures (e.g., JSON) and optimise for analytics.
• Implement data orchestration, CI/CD, automation and governance.
• Contribute to data engineering standards, patterns and code quality.
• Mentor and coach engineers to raise team capability.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
