Job summary

TechClover is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in Sydney, Australia to lead enterprise data modelling, architecture and Databricks engineering for a long-term embedded engagement with a major client. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Databricks Professional certification: Preferred
• Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering and advanced data modelling
• Hands‑on expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows
• Production experience with SQL, Python/PySpark and dbt and/or Spark Declarative Pipelines
• Strong understanding of data governance, security and access‑control design
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and business‑communication skills
• Ability to explain architectural decisions and trade‑offs in platform‑agnostic terms
• Experience with Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles, GitHub Actions, SailPoint/Okta, BI tools or financial‑services data would be advantageous.
