WesTrac's Components Workshop in Perth is seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic/Heavy Diesel Mechanic for a full-time, Perth-based role. You will diagnose, repair and rebuild Caterpillar components in a modern facility, with career growth and industry-leading training.

You'll join a highly skilled team with access to strong leadership, tooling, and ongoing WesTrac Institute training, offering long-term career potential and a stable day-shift schedule with home every night.

Competenze

• Trade-qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience in heavy equipment maintenance and component rebuilds.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to safety and alignment with WesTrac's SPARC values: Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer.

Mansioni

• Diagnose, repair and rebuild Caterpillar components to OEM standards.
• Work across engines, transmissions, torque converters, cylinders, final drives, differentials and hydraulic systems.
• Complete component strip, inspection, assembly and testing activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve component reliability and performance.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, efficiency and housekeeping within the workshop.
