Job summary

Beyond Best Personal Training in Collingwood, Melbourne is seeking a Personal Trainer & Membership Sales Consultant who can coach clients and grow memberships.

You’ll deliver 1-on-1, semi-private and small-group sessions while building relationships, guiding prospects through consultations and converting enquiries into memberships.

This full-time role offers a salary of $65,000–$75,000 plus super and performance bonuses, with 38 hours per week in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Fitness.
• Experience delivering personal training sessions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence speaking with prospective members, both over the phone and in person.
• Previous sales experience, ideally within the fitness industry.
• The ability to understand people’s needs and confidently recommend appropriate services.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage follow-ups and appointments.
• A willingness to learn, accept feedback and continually improve.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping people succeed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1-on-1, semi-private and small-group personal training sessions.
• Build genuine relationships with members, understanding their individual needs, challenges and motivations.
• Design and deliver tailored exercise programs in line with Beyond Best coaching standards.
• Help members develop the confidence, consistency and healthy habits needed for long-term success.
• Monitor client progress, celebrate achievements and adapt programs when life gets in the way.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches to continuously improve our member experience.
• Contact prospective members who have expressed interest in our services.
• Build rapport, understand their goals and help them feel comfortable taking the next step.
• Make outbound calls and follow up enquiries to book membership consultations.
• Conduct in-person consultations to understand prospective members’ needs and recommend suitable training options.
• Confidently guide prospective members through the decision-making process and convert enquiries into memberships.
• Maintain accurate lead records and follow-up activities using our CRM system.
• Work towards agreed targets for appointments, consultations and new memberships.
• Contribute to a welcoming, encouraging and positive training environment.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions.
• Support member retention by delivering exceptional coaching and building strong relationships.
• Contribute ideas that improve our members’ experience and help Beyond Best continue to grow.
