Connected People in Sydney is seeking an experienced attorney to manage NSW workers' compensation matters from inception to resolution. You will develop case strategies, provide practical client advice and prepare all relevant documents for settlement.

You will represent clients before the Personal Injury Commission, engaging in negotiations, conferences and mediations. The role emphasizes strong client relationships, mentoring, and careful file management within a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and PIC processes.
  • Experience appearing before the Personal Injury Commission.
  • Strong negotiation, advocacy or dispute resolution experience.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and seek guidance when needed.
  • Excellent communication and client-focused approach.
  • Strong organisation and file management skills.

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of NSW workers compensation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Develop case strategies and provide clear, practical legal advice to clients.
  • Prepare applications, submissions, correspondence, statements and settlement documentation.
  • Represent clients in the Personal Injury Commission and participate in negotiations, conferences and mediations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and empathetic, responsive service.
  • Work closely with experienced practitioners and support staff to achieve strong client outcomes.
  • Manage files efficiently while meeting relevant legislative, procedural and professional requirements.

Join a growing specialist personal injury practice where you'll manage your own workers compensation files, develop your advocacy skills and have genuine access to senior practitioners for mentoring and support.

You’ll work across a varied caseload from initial advice through to resolution, with exposure to the Personal Injury Commission, negotiations, conferences and hearings.

Day to day you will:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of NSW workers compensation matters from inception through to resolution
  • Develop case strategies and provide clear, practical legal advice to clients
  • Prepare applications, submissions, correspondence, statements and settlement documentation
  • Represent clients in the Personal Injury Commission and participate in negotiations, conferences and mediations
