Job summary

UPA Aged Care Solutions – Albury-Wodonga VIC is seeking Casual Personal Care Workers to join a directly employed team across Murray Vale Shalem for Christmas, New Year and beyond.

As a Personal Care Worker/Care Service Employee, you’ll provide respectful, person-centred care, assist with daily living activities, mobility, and support medication administration when trained, while enjoying induction and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent required.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people.
• Reliable and able to work across shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Current First Aid Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centred care.
• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist residents with mobility.
• Assist with medication administration when trained and assessed as competent.
• Work closely with nurses and other care staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Personal Care Worker/Care Service Employee, you’ll support residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to the things they enjoy.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing respectful, person-centred care
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting residents with mobility
• Supporting medication administration when appropriately trained and assessed as competent
• Working closely with nurses and other care employees
• Building positive relationships with residents and their families

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification, or are actively working towards one where permitted
• Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people
• Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts
• Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
• Can work across a range of days and shift times

Previous residential aged-care experience and a current First Aid Certificate are desirable.
