Job summary

UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Personal Care Workers across Molong for Christmas, New Year and beyond. You’ll support residents to maintain independence, dignity and connection to the things they enjoy, delivering respectful, person-centred care alongside familiar teams.

This casual role offers flexible shifts and competitive rates with loadings, induction and ongoing support, plus the potential to move into ongoing or permanent employment when opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or actively working towards one where permitted.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people.
• Reliable and comfortable with available shifts.
• Communicate well and enjoy teamwork.
• Previous residential aged-care experience and a current First Aid Certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing respectful, person-centred care.

UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Personal Care Workers/Care Service Employees across Molongfor Christmas, New Year and beyond.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Personal Care Worker/Care Service Employee, you’ll support residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to the things they enjoy.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing respectful, person-centred care
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting residents with mobility
• Supporting medication administration when appropriately trained and assessed as competent
• Working closely with nurses and other care employees
• Building positive relationships with residents and their families

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification, or are actively working towards one where permitted
• Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people
• Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts
• Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
• Can work across a range of days and shift times

Previous residential aged-care experience and a current First Aid Certificate are desirable.
