Job summary

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families in Kingaroy seeks a Personal Carer to support clients in the community. You will travel to home visits, assist with daily living tasks and personal care, and follow tailored care plans to boost independence and quality of life.

Role requires care qualifications, a valid driver’s licence, and a vehicle for work. You will participate in community activities and be part of Australia’s trusted care network under BlueCare.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent - Essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work - Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc - Essential

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road visiting clients in their homes for daily living support
• In-home personal care including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community-based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
