Job summary

BlueCare Personal Carer supports clients in the community, helping with daily living activities and independence. You will visit clients at home across Coolangatta, Tallebudgera, Elanora and surrounding areas, providing compassionate, person-centred care aligned to each Care Plan.

Role requires Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, a current Australian Driver's Licence, and readiness to drive a minibus.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
• Vehicle is required (roadworthy & insured).
• Experience with smartphones, tablets and laptops helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance.
• Support clients to maintain independence and quality of life.
• Travel between homes for scheduled visits.
• Assist with meal prep, housekeeping, and transportation.
• Follow each client's individual care plan.

Remuneration: $36.32 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM's) + Employee discounts

About the role

As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Confidence driving a minibus & willing to obtain a Restricted Driver's Licence - Desirable
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
