Job summary

BlueCare Gatton seeks a Personal Carer to support clients in their homes, promoting independence and wellbeing through daily living activities and personal care. You will travel to scheduled visits, assist with daily tasks and provide companionship in a respectful, person-centred manner.

Working part-time, you will follow individual care plans, support community activities, and help with shopping, meals and transport, backed by one of Australia’s most trusted community care providers.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care qualification or equivalent.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum).
• Vehicle to use for work with roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and support with daily living activities.
• Assist with meals, personal hygiene, housekeeping as per care plan.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Engage clients to support independence and quality of life.

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
