Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Worker at Glen Osmond Grove Care Community in South Australia. You will provide personal care, assist daily living activities and administer medications under HLTHPS007 guidelines.

This permanent part-time role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to work on a roster that includes weekends and public holidays, with supportive mentoring and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• HLTHPS007 – Administer and Monitor Medications is essential.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability, or current nursing students eligible to administer medications.
• Genuine commitment to person-centred care.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach.
• Reliability and ability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends/PH.
• Pre-employment checks including police check and medical.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and daily living support to residents per care plans.
• Administer and monitor medications in line with HLTHPS007.
• Support mobility, meals, hygiene, grooming and social engagement.
• Promote dignity, independence and meaningful connection for residents.
• Maintain documentation and follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
• Adhere to WHS and quality standards.
