Job summary

MACG is seeking a passionate Personal Care Worker for a casual role in Melbourne. You will support residents to live with dignity and choice, assisting with personal care and daily activities as part of a collaborative care team.

You will work with Registered Nurses and the care team to monitor residents’ wellbeing, document care accurately and uphold infection control and safety standards. Australian working rights and a current Police Check are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent required/desirable experience.
• Current Police Check and relevant screening requirements.
• Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
• Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Support residents to maintain independence and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care documentation.
• Follow care, infection control and WHS requirements.

About the Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you’ll play an important role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, independence and choice.

Working alongside our experienced care team, you will:

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents
• Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living
• Support residents to maintain their independence and wellbeing
• Build positive and meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health, behaviour or wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care documentation
• Follow all relevant care, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and the wider care team
