Job summary

AdventCare in Warburton, Victoria, is seeking Personal Care Attendants (PCA) for permanent part-time and casual roles. The successful candidates will provide daily living support—showering, personal hygiene, assistance at mealtimes and mobility—and deliver care according to each resident's individualised Care Plan.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant/s will have demonstrated interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage with residents and provide dementia support.
• Experience prioritising workloads and delivering holistic care.
• Respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self-esteem, with a commitment to quality improvement.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control in aged care.
• Experience in residential aged care and proof of right to work in Australia; NDIS Check or willingness to obtain.

Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Permanent, Casual and Permanent

AdventCare is a trusted 'not for profit' organisation offering aged care that embraces Christian values and provide a home for people requiring all levels of care. The organisation is highly regarded in the community. We currently have vacancies for (Casual,Permanent Part Time PCA) at our Yarra Ranges Facility in Warburton.

Our dedicated staff work with the same residents every day. This continuity allows for deep and trusting relationships to develop between residents, employees, and families.

The successful applicant/s will have:

• Certificate III in Aged Care or higher
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
• Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care
• Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self esteem
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Experience in residential aged care
• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
• NDIS Check or willing to obtain
