Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking Personal Carer Workers (PCWs) at the Mt Lofty Toowoomba care home to support elderly residents, families and colleagues across AM, PM and Night shifts in a compassionate, timely and resident-centered manner.

Ideal candidates have aged care experience and hold required qualifications, a valid NDIS screening clearance, and a willingness to work in a safety-first team dedicated to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing with an aged care placement or equivalent.
• OR 2nd year nursing student with an aged care industry placement.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centric care under supervision.
• Collaborate with nursing, hospitality and resident engagement teams.
• Maintain safety and complete required documentation.

Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector already and the ability to “think on your feet” for strong workplace safety, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

• Ideally one year demonstrated working experience in the Aged Care sector


• Qualifications in Diploma of Nursing with an aged care industry placement OR 2nd year nursing student with an industry placement OR Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care)


• we do recognise other Cert III courses in related healthcare studies. Industry work placement will also be needed to meet compliance standards.


• Hold the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector.

• Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and follow strict safety procedures at all times to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.


• Computer savvy including using emails, word and navigating inhouse training platforms.


• Excellent workplace safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears.
