Job summary

BaptistCare is seeking Personal Care Workers in Morwell and the Latrobe Valley to support older people at home, enabling independent living in the community.

You will assist with daily tasks, provide companionship, and build trusted relationships with clients, delivering high-quality, person-centered care in regional areas.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Australian driver licence with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance.
• Completed Certificate III in aged care or Individual support or above.
• Current Level II First Aid Certificate.
• Proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
• Warm, respectful and caring approach.
• Patience, resilience and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Support older people in their own homes across Morwell and surrounding areas.
• Assist with household tasks, showering and dressing, meal preparation, continence support, medication assistance or transport to appointments and local activities.
• Provide companionship, conversation and a friendly face.
• Help clients continue living safely and independently in the place they call home.

About the role

As a Personal Care Support Worker with BaptistCare, you’ll support older people in their own homes across Morwell and surrounding areas.

Every day is different. You might help with household tasks, showering and dressing, meal preparation, continence support, medication assistance or transport to appointments and local activities.

Just as importantly, you’ll provide companionship, conversation, and a friendly face.

In a rural community, those connections matter. You’ll get to know your clients, understand what is important to them and support them to continue living safely and independently in the place they call home.

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring:
