Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland is seeking caring Personal Care Workers to join our Residential Aged Care team in Warwick, QLD. You’ll contribute to residents' wellbeing by assisting with daily activities, meals and mobility, while building meaningful relationships in a supportive environment.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or be working towards it), demonstrate empathy and teamwork, and have current screening checks.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) or be currently enrolled and working towards completion.
• Demonstrate a caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting residents.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Hold an NDIS Worker Screening and a current Police Check (or be willing to obtain them).
• Have valid Australian working rights (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, mobility and meals.
• Build positive relationships with residents and support their emotional and social wellbeing.
• Encourage independence while respecting each resident's individual needs and preferences.
• Help create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.
• Recognise and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing to nursing staff.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Personal Care Workers who hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), or are currently working towards this qualification, to join our Residential Aged Care team in Warwick.

Whether you are already experienced in aged care or currently completing your studies, this is a great opportunity to put your skills into practice while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

As a Personal Care Worker, you'll play an important role in helping our residents feel comfortable, supported and valued every day.

Working alongside our nursing and care teams, you will:

• Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, mobility and meals.
• Build positive relationships with residents and support their emotional and social wellbeing.
• Encourage independence while respecting each resident's individual needs and preferences.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with older people and brings a positive, team-focused attitude to their work.
