Job summary

Hospital in Your Home is seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker to join our team in North Brisbane, QLD. This role is part time or casual and is integral to providing high-quality, personalised in-home care services to our aged care clients.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping, while supporting clients to remain living independently at home.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months' experience as a Personal Care Worker in aged care or in-home care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting older adults.
• A current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Providing support with mobility, including transferring and ambulating clients.
• Preparing and serving meals, and supporting clients with feeding as needed.
• Performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying.
• Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any concerns to the care team.
• Engaging clients in social activities and providing companionship.
• Adhering to all safety and care protocols to ensure the highest standards of client care.
