Job summary

Bolton Clarke Farnorha home in Cairns is seeking a Personal Care Worker to provide compassionate support to residents, focusing on wellbeing, independence and meaningful activities.

You will assist with daily living, mobility and documentation, while upholding dignity and self-determination. Prior experience in aged care is valued; valid Australian work rights and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing (or equivalent)
• Experience in Aged Care highly regarded
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Prior to commencement - complete a National Police Check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)

The Role

As a Personal Care Worker you’ll provide assistance to our residents, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices.

The key focus of the role will be to:

• To provide high quality, safe, and timely contemporary personal care; assisting with the functions of daily living according to the individual needs of residents.
• Support and care for residents as they age and assisting them to maintain their independence and live with dignity, self‑determination and comfort.
• Assist the resident with self‑care needs, safe mobility and transfers, and complete documentation.

To be successful
