Job summary

Aveo is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to provide high-quality in-home and community support to residents at Minkara Resort in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The role focuses on wellbeing, independence, social connection and daily assistance, with a fixed roster including sleepover nights.

Applicants should have experience in aged or community care, a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, a valid driver’s licence and current First Aid & CPR; a friendly, proactive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or Home Care Worker.
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build connections with residents.
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance.
• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning and laundry.
• Interact with residents in home or in community activities (driving to appointments or light exercise).
• Provide care tailored to each resident’s care plans.
• Complete simple administration and keep resident notes up to date.
• Follow Aveo OH&S policies and report safety or resident incidents.

The Opportunity
Minkara Resort is in the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches with stunning views over Bayview and Mona Vale. Set over 30 acres, the community creates a tranquil setting for low-maintenance retirement.As aPersonal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, socialsupportand dailyassistanceto residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building socialconnectionandassistingwith day-to-day tasks.

This is a permanent part time opportunity working the following roster:

Week 1: Sunday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning)

Week 2: Tuesday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning) and Sunday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning)

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.gdriving them to appointments or light exercise)
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety,securityand resident incidents

What we offer

• Weekday Rate: $36.23/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Sunday Rate: $63.40/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
