Job summary

Aveo is hiring a Personal Care Attendant at Lindsay Gardens Retirement Living in Buderim. You will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents, promoting wellbeing and independence.

The role is a permanent part-time position, with Friday and Saturday morning shifts in a friendly, community-focused environment. Bring your experience in aged or community care, a valid driver's licence, First Aid and CPR, and vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
• Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents

Responsibilities

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.g. driving them to appointments or light exercise)
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

The Opportunity

Lindsay Gardens Retirement Living offers a tranquil lifestyle set across 7 acres of landscaped grounds in the heart of Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, moments from Buderim Marketplace, Buderim Forest Park, and just seven kilometres from Mooloolaba Beach. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.

This is a permanent part time opportunity working Friday (7:00am-1:30pm) and Saturday (7:15am-11:45am)

Your Impact

What We Offer

• Weekday Rate: $36.23/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Saturday Rate: $45.29/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
