Job summary

Aveo is hiring a Personal Care Attendant for a casual role at The Sanctuary Retirement Living in Caboolture South. You will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within Aveo homes, promoting independence and wellbeing.

This is an ad-hoc position to cover leave and extra help as needed. Your duties include in-home support, assisting with daily tasks, and community activities to enhance residents' quality of life, with a focus on safety and accurate

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or Home Care Worker.
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude for community care.
• Strong communication skills to build meaningful connections with residents.
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required).
• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (required).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents.
• Assist with hygiene, medications, house cleaning, laundry and more.
• Engage residents in activities in-home or in the community (appointments, light exercise).
• Follow individual care plans and update resident notes accordingly.
• Follow Aveo OH&S policies and report safety incidents.

The Opportunity

The Sanctuary Retirement Living

is a welcoming retirement living community located in Caboolture South. With amenities nearby such as Morayfield Shopping Centre and Caboolture Sports Club, the community provides low maintenance retirement living for residents to enjoy. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.

This is a casual role, helping our team on an ad-hocbasis with covering leave or when we need an extra pair of hands!

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e driving them to appointments or light exercise)
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

What You'll Bring

• Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
• Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
