Job summary

Prestige Inhome Care seeks experienced Personal Care Attendants to deliver person-centred home care across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. You will support clients with daily living tasks, mobility and companionship, enabling independence at home.

The role requires caring for clients with complex needs, dementia, and continence management, with opportunities for professional development and flexible rosters. A valid driver’s licence and NSW-based availability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Attendant, Support Worker, or similar role in aged care, disability support or home care.
• Experience providing personal care and supporting clients with complex care needs.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with showering, bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Manage toileting and continence needs.
• Support oral hygiene routines and medication prompting.
• Assist with eating and drinking.
• Support mobility with aids and equipment as required.
• Assist clients living with dementia using supportive strategies.
• Provide catheter and stoma care where required.
• Offer companionship and emotional support; assist with community access.

Prestige Inhome Care is seeking experienced Personal Care Attendants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, including Bondi, Randwick, Maroubra, Coogee, Kensington, Kingsford, Rose Bay, Double Bay and surrounding areas.

About The Role

As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide personalised support to clients with their daily living needs, including:

• Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Supporting clients with showering, bathing, dressing and grooming
• Toileting and continence management
• Assisting clients with oral hygiene routines
• Medication prompting
• Supporting clients with eating and drinking
• Assisting with mobility aids and equipment based on individual client needs
• Supporting clients living with dementia, including using appropriate strategies to respond to resistance to care
• Providing catheter and stoma care where required
• Providing companionship, emotional support and assistance with community access where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Attendant, Support Worker, or similar role within aged care, disability support, or home and community care
• Experience providing personal care and supporting clients with complex care needs
• Confidence assisting with catheter and stoma care (desirable)
• Experience supporting clients living with dementia and understanding strategies to promote positive care outcomes
• A relevant qualification in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability Support, Nursing, or a related field
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle to travel between client appointments
• Flexibility and availability to support short-hour services across the Eastern Suburbs
