Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Wahroonga NSW is seeking Personal Care Assistants for a permanent part-time/casual role with afternoon and night shifts. The pay rate is $38 per hour plus superannuation, and you will help residents with daily living needs in a home-like environment.

You’ll work as part of a clinical team to follow care plans, assist with personal care, meals and social activities, maintain documentation, and support families and the community.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
• Medication competency training as part of Certificate III/IV is preferred.

We are looking for Personal Care Assistants to join our team at McQuoin Park. We offer a variety of shifts including morning, afternoon, and night shifts across the week. As part of a dedicated team who work hard to create a safe, home‑like environment you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing
• Supporting day-to-day tasks such as eating and social activities
• Working with clinical team members to ensure care plans are followed
• Maintaining documentation and working as part of a team to ensure our residents’ health and wellbeing are optimised
• Providing high quality service to families and the community

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• A reliable team player
• Understanding of workplace health and safety
• A Certificate 3 in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
• Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication‑competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies
