Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking Casual Personal Care Assistants for Lewisham NSW to support residents in a 92-bed nursing/hostel setting. Roles include personal care, daily living assistance, and collaboration with the clinical team to implement care plans, with accurate documentation and compassionate resident support.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, with preferred medication-competency training, and demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a genuine

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Preference for medication-competency training as part of Cert III/IV.
• Caring nature and genuine desire to help older people.
• Friendly and confident with diverse people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive attitude and safety-focused.
• Willingness to undergo Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care needs such as showering and dressing.
• Supporting daily living activities including mealtimes, mobility, and social engagement.
• Working with the clinical team to follow individual care plans.
• Accurately documenting care and communicating within the care team.
• Providing respectful, high-quality support to residents, families and the community.

• Casual PCA Positions (Monday to Sunday AM, PM and Night shifts)
• $38 per hour + Superannuation

Your Role Will Include:

• Assisting our residents with personal care needs such as showering and dressing
• Supporting daily living activities including mealtimes, mobility, and social engagement
• Working collaboratively with our clinical team to follow individual care plans
• Accurately documenting care and communicating effectively within the care team
• Providing respectful, high-quality support to residents, their families, and the wider community

What We’re Looking For:

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
• Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication‑competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies
• A caring nature and genuine desire to support older people
• Friendly and confident when interacting with people from all walks of life
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A reliable, positive attitude and commitment to working safely
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Willingness to undergo a Police Check and obtain NDIS Worker Screening clearance
