Job summary

Cabrini Brighton is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join the Surgical ward on a permanent part-time basis.

The PCA will support nursing staff, manage ward resources, bed flow and patient comfort, and ensure beds are ready for admissions. Applicants should have Health Service Assistance qualifications and WWCC/Police checks. Cabrini offers a supportive team environment in a well-resourced setting.

Qualifications

• Health Service Assistance qualifications or relevant qualifications.
• Previous PCA/WA experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication; ability to build trust with patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients under RN supervision.
• Observe patients and report to RN.
• Answer patient and family queries and refer to RN.
• Maintain patient environment and restock supplies.
• Support bed flow and admissions readiness.
