Job summary

Anthem Care in Bowral, NSW is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our aged care team on a part-time basis. You will deliver person-centred care to residents, supporting independence, dignity, and comfort across daily living activities.

You'll work with a supportive team, follow care plans and clinical direction, assist with personal care, meals, mobility, and provide companionship. Night shifts may be required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent).
• Ability to follow care plans and clinical direction accurately.
• Commitment to resident rights, dignity and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Assist with meals, mobility and daily living activities.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Support medication administration as directed by care plans (where qualified).
• Promote independence and quality of life while upholding dignity.

Your day will include:

• Supporting residents with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Assisting with meals, mobility, communication, and daily living activities
• Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship
• Supporting medication assistance in line with care plans (where qualified)
• Promoting independence and enhancing quality of life
• Ensuring dignity, privacy, and residents’ rights are always upheld
• Working collaboratively within a diverse, supportive team environment
