Job summary

Respect is seeking compassionate Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our rural aged care home in Macksville, NSW. You will deliver person-centred care, assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals and hygiene, and help residents feel valued.

Work as part of a supportive team with nurses and care staff. You should have a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, strong communication, and a genuine passion for caring for older people.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our team in a supportive rural aged care home. You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.

No two days are the same! As Personal Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
  

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care or a similar role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for caring for older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work across a variety of shifts
• Understanding of person-centred care
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
• Current NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
