Job summary

Respect Aged Care in Merbein is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to join our team on a casual basis. You will work under the guidance of our clinical team to provide person-centred care to residents across a range of shifts.

This flexible casual role offers opportunities to cover planned leave and unplanned absences while developing your skills in a supportive, not-for-profit environment dedicated to dignified ageing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Availability to work across mornings, afternoons and nights.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Genuine passion for aged care and improving residents' lives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care tailored to individual needs, preferences and care plans.
• Assist residents with meals, refreshments and daily living activities.
• Accurately document care activities and report changes to the care plan.
• Support meal planning by checking daily menu requirements.
• Carry out tasks delegated by Registered or Enrolled Nurses.
• Promote residents’ independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• Work collaboratively with the broader care team to ensure continuity of care.

The Opportunity

As a casual Personal Care Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of our clinical team to provide compassionate, person-centred care to our residents.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across morning, afternoon and night shifts, providing essential staffing support across the home, including covering planned annual leave, sick leave and other short-term staffing requirements.

You’ll play an important role in ensuring our residents continue to receive consistent, high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities
