Job summary

St Vincent’s Care Gympie is seeking a Living Support Partner to provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents within a dedicated household team. You will assist with daily living activities, respect routines, and help residents feel safe, valued and engaged.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or Aged Care, with 6+ months of residential aged care experience (dementia care a plus). AutumnCare experience and NCCHC checks are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care or equivalent is essential.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in residential aged care (dementia experience preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using AutumnCare or similar software for record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Support residents to maintain independence and dignity per care plans.
• Work within a household team to ensure safety, engagement and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records using AutumnCare and other systems.

Things that work for us:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualifications essential
• 6 months+ experience in a similar role with residential aged care experience (dementia experience) highly regarded
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with AutumnCare (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records
• Understanding of Aged Care, resident rights/responsibilities with ability to follow the care plan
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
