Job summary

Doutta Galla Aged Services is hiring Personal Care Assistants to support residents across Melbourne's western suburbs. Casual opportunities offer flexibility to fit your availability while delivering high-quality, person-centered care in a supportive team.

You will provide respectful personal care, support daily living activities, and help maintain dignity and independence for residents, while documenting care and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in line with Aged Care Quality

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in personal care ideally in an aged care setting.
• Experience caring for people living with dementia. Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent e.g. Individual Support)
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with residents living with dementia and/or where English is a second language.
• Demonstrated ability to document concisely and effectively in resident progress notes
• Ability to work effectively and respectfully in a team environment.
• Knowledge of the Care Plan process and the relevant assessments required.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach.

Responsibilities
