Job summary

RSGx Group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a full-time, ongoing role based in Adelaide, SA. You will split time between workshop (approximately 30%) and client sites (approximately 70%), supporting Projects across Resources, Oil & Gas, Energy and Industrial Infrastructure sectors.

The role requires a Mechanical Trade certificate, ability to read drawings, basic welding/fabrication skills, and a White Card with a valid driver’s licence. Travel in SA and interstate may be required.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade is required.
• Ability to read technical and engineering drawings.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills are required.
• Must have White card and valid driver’s licence.
• Desirable: Working at heights, First aid, Confined spaces, Dogman, Forklift.
• Willingness to travel in SA and interstate on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Fitting, mechanical maintenance and installation across workshop and site environments.
• Work in industrial settings, including acid and lead processing plants.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Install and maintain plant, machinery, pipework and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Use precision measuring equipment.
• Assist with basic welding and fabrication activities.
• Support other trades and site teams as required.
