Job summary

Core Talent Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a permanent, full-time position at a glass bottle manufacturing facility near Gawler, north of Adelaide. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, fault finding and servicing on critical production equipment within a high-temperature furnace area.

You will join a skilled maintenance team of around 10 fitters and supervisors, and enjoy a Monday–Friday roster with 7:00am–3:00pm or 7:00am–4:00pm shifts and a 9-day fortnight, secure

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
• Experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, or processing environment.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems.
• Able to work safely in hot and physically demanding environment.

• Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and servicing on critical production machinery.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a stable, long-term opportunity in a heavy industrial environment?

We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading glass bottle manufacturing facility located in Gawler, just north of Adelaide. This permanent full‑time position offers excellent pay, a supportive maintenance team, and the opportunity to work within a large‑scale manufacturing operation.

About the Role

Working within the furnace end of the plant, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and equipment servicing on critical production machinery. This area of the site operates continuously with multiple glass melting furnaces and requires working in a physically demanding, high‑temperature environment.

You will be part of a skilled maintenance team consisting of approximately 10 fitters and supervisors, ensuring plant reliability and safe operation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
• Experience working in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, or processing environment
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault‑finding skills
• Experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems (highly regarded)
• The ability to work safely in a hot and physically demanding environment
• A proactive approach to maintenance and workplace safety
