Job summary

Newcastle Anglican seeks Registered Nurses to join our Anglican Care aged care facilities in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. You will lead ward teams, mentor staff, and coordinate person-centred care with strong communication across teams.

Applicants must be AHPRA-registered with a background in palliative care and a commitment to dignity-driven care. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in palliative care with ageing populations.
• Demonstrates dignity- and person-centred care.
• Strong time management and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Willingness to work morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• National Police Check (NDIS Check may be required).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care for residents, including palliative care.
• Demonstrate leadership of staff on ward level and mentor junior colleagues.
• Coordinate care effectively within the team and across shifts.
• Maintaining clear written and verbal communication with colleagues and residents.
