Job summary

Hoban Recruitment is seeking an experienced Permanent Recruitment Consultant in Australia to grow a client-focused desk across Sydney, Seven Hills and Brisbane. You’ll build long-term partnerships and deliver quality permanent recruitment solutions.

You’ll own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, develop new business, meet clients, qualify roles, source candidates and manage billings, with ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• Previous agency recruitment experience, particularly within permanent recruitment.
• Strong commercial mindset with drive to build a profitable desk.
• Confidence developing new business and recruitment opportunities.
• Strong client relationship and account management skills.
• Ability to achieve targets, increase billings and earn potential.
• Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
• Confidence engaging with candidates and clients at all levels.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Autonomous work style with team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a successful permanent recruitment desk.
• Develop new business through proactive sales, networking and market engagement.
• Identify and pursue new client and recruitment opportunities.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
• Meet with clients to understand their businesses, hiring needs and workforce challenges.
• Manage the complete permanent recruitment life cycle, from business development and job qualification through to placement.
• Source, engage, interview and represent high-quality candidates.
• Develop and maintain strong talent networks within your market.
• Provide clients with market insights, salary guidance and recruitment advice.
• Negotiate recruitment terms and manage commercial conversations.
• Maintain an active pipeline of vacancies, candidates and prospective clients.
• Deliver an exceptional experience for clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Take ownership of your desk performance, activity and billings.

About You

We’re open to speaking with experienced agency recruiters from a range of recruitment backgrounds.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous agency recruitment experience, particularly within permanent recruitment
• A strong commercial mindset and genuine drive to build a successful, profitable desk
• Confidence developing new business and generating recruitment opportunities
• Strong client relationship and account management skills
• The motivation to achieve targets, increase billings and maximise your earning potential
• Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
• Confidence engaging with candidates and clients at all levels
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach to networking and building your market presence
